Born to a poor white family in Cincinnati, Ohio, Matt was kidnapped by aliens at the age of 6 and taken to their planet where he was forced to wash dishes and teach them long division. After helping them develop the concept of probing, they retuned Matt to his home with a note excusing him from gym for the rest of his life.
Matt joined IAS in 1999 after mistakenly taking one of their infamous Improv classes (he thought he was taking a pornographic poetry class). He is a Stand-Up comedian and has appeared on David Letterman. OK, it was the David Letterman web site but his name appeared on there 3 times! That's gotta count for something!
Matt is married to the most wonderful woman in the world (this is in here in case she reads it) and has 3 children, a dog, and a cement goose. His hobbies include collecting Green Stamps (he's got 17 so far), talking with Telemarketers, and biting the heads off of chocolate animals.
